The junior high held their 5th Annual Thanksgiving Dodgeball Tournament and Canned-food Drive yesterday with 14 teams participating. This year’s tournament brought in over 100 non-perishable food items for the Loami Food Pantry.

After Miss Wainman asked parents to video themselves explaining how they use Math in the classroom, Grandparents Dan and Pam Neuman sent in a video issuing a challenge for students to solve! A correct answer would earn them a pizza party! Today, students celebrated their victory!

Students in Makers 7/8 carved pumpkins, and then they used vinegar and baking soda to make the pumpkins “puke!”
Students in Miss Wainman’s 6th grade classes wrapped up their unit on Ancient Egypt by researching, writing a news article, and creating a sarcophagus for a god, goddess, or pharaoh.
