From March 1st to March 31st, we will be collecting various school supplies for our student teachers working in our building this year. The items are grade-specific, and we kindly ask each grade level to help with the following: Pre-K & Kindergarten: Pencils and/or pens 1st Grade: Crayons and/or colored pencils 2nd Grade: Notebooks and/or packs of paper 3rd Grade: Sticky notes and/or folders 4th Grade: Expo markers and/or pencil erasers 5th Grade: Scissors and/or glue In addition to the grade-specific items, we are also encouraging donations of children's books across various reading levels from all grades. Please send your donated items with your child, or drop them off in the office. The donated items will then be put outside of the classroom in the morning, and the Student Council will come around to collect them. Thank you for helping our Student Teachers get their careers started!!

Mrs. Marr arranged to have Pretzel families donate several boxes of fun stuff to be delivered to Mr. Birch (our own Mrs. Birch's husband) who is serving overseas. Thank you all for your generosity and thoughtfulness. And...thank you Mr. Birch for keeping us safe.

Angel Tree Forms are due Friday, November 1st. Feel free to call up the school and ask for Angie Marr if you have any questions. The Pretzel Angel Tree serves the Community Unit School District #16 children & families, who are currently active students in the district. Each child remains anonymous and is given a letter & number to be put on the tree, located in the vestibule of the New Berlin Elementary School. Tags are taken, shopped for, wrapped and returned to the Elementary Office by Friday, December 6, 2024. The Angel Tree Committee provides coats, shoes & underwear to each child. Local churches donate personal items and food boxes for each family. We are very grateful and appreciative of all of the support we receive from the community.
