On Thursday, August 20, 2020 the USDA extended four nationwide waivers for the Summer Food Service Program. This means that September 1 – December 31, 2020, all children from birth to 18 years of age are eligible for free breakfasts and lunches. New meal distribution times begin the week of Monday, September 7. However, with the Labor Day holiday, please note that this first week will be different than the subsequent weeks. Please remember to maintain social distancing at the distribution site. Pick up times are Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am – 12:00pm at the following locations: • New Berlin Elementary Building at the South entrance (where bus drop-off is and where you go in to the gymnasium) • Loami Fire Station • Deerfield Subdivision on the corner of Johanne Ct and Bradfordton Rd (under a blue tent) We are having additional pick up times for those who cannot make it in the mornings. The alternative pick up times are Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:30pm – 6:30pm at the New Berlin Elementary Building at the South entrance (where bus drop-off is and where you go in to the gymnasium). ***Due to Labor Day, this week the pick-up days will be Tuesday and Thursday.*** On Monday, you receive meals for Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, you will receive meals for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. We will try to send out a menu the week before. An example of the breakfast is cereal or pastry, fruit, and white milk. A lunch bag may contain a cold cut sandwich or a microwavable item, fruit, vegetable, a snack item, and chocolate milk. We will have breakfast and lunch bags pre-made prior to arriving at the distribution sites so we will not accommodate personal preferences. If your student has an allergy, we will have substitute items available for them. Please contact Jay Ayers with any questions at jayers@pretzelpride.com or 217-488-2040, ext. 518. If you are unable to make these pick-up times, please contact Jay to discuss delivery options.

We are experiencing technical difficulties with Zoom. We send an update when the issue is resolved. Students will need to login to their classes via SeeSaw or Google Classroom and work posted actvities. This is a global issue, not just for our district. Thank you!
